Born Robert Gutierrez August 22, 197? in Southern California, my influences in Hip-Hop were Eric B. & Rakim, Eazy E & N.W.A, and Big Daddy Kane. I looked up to them as my idols. I wanted to perform and rap like them; reciting every one of their lyrics just like any other fan. They were my Hip-Hop Legends...
Rap was my life. I was sixteen when I got my first record deal with Lighter Shade of Brown. We signed our first recording contract in Los Angeles, California with an independent label in 1990. This began the era of what media calls "Chicano Rap." Being categorized as "Chicano Rap" was a bit disturbing to me, rap was rap no matter what color you were. Back then our manager along with our record label wanted to introduce us to the world as the first "Chicano rap group." Through the years much success had developed with Lighter Shade of Brown from our first singles released. "Latin Active", "Sunday Afternoon" and "Hey DJ" hit top 40 on "Billboards 100 Singles Charts". That paved the way for the group to sell over 1.5 million records worldwide. Our last recorded album together was in 1998. In November of 1999, Jesse Duran, the Program Director at 99.1 KGGI, approached me at a street party I was at and offered me a gig on the radio. I accepted the offer and started doing weekends. Two months later, I worked my way into overnights. I did overnights for about 3 months and then I was offered the prime time gig 6pm to 10pm. I�ve been doing nights for the last 5 years and have helped take 99.1 back to #1 in 11 years. I believe our staff is as strong as it has ever been. In 2001, I became the stations' Music Director: which put me in charge of scheduling music and consulting with major/independent record label reps.
So now I look towards the future...TV!!!!!!!! Maybe one day you�ll see your boy HOLLArin� on the next big Video Show!!! That�s it for now.

Teens In Rancho & Etiwanda Could Face Child Porn Charges For SEXTING
Just picked up tonight's local news about teens "sexting" or texting nude photos to gain popularity on Twitter, have gotten themselves into deep trouble in the Etiwanda HS and Rancho Cucamonga HS areas.

Will.I.AM Gives 100k To School

Yesterday morning Grammy award winning artist and producer Will.I.AM wrote a check out for $100,000 to a school in need of school supplies and necessary tools to help out.
Stuff.com.nz writes
"The Black Eyed Peas frontman has donated $100,000 to a network of low decile schools in the city's low-income areas toward providing children with new computers and iPads.
He surprised the children at Point England Primary School where he handed the cheque over to the Manaiakalani Trust this morning.
The trust will spread the money across nine schools in Auckland's Glen Innes, Pt England and Panmure - the city's oldest state housing communities where 95 per cent of the students are Maori and Pasifika."

Kanye West Album Release Date
June 18th could possibly be Kanye West's album release date for his six album. Kanye took to twitter and put 2 simple words June 18th and it has all of Kanyes fans going nuts. West has been living in Paris since at least January, recording in secret at the hotel Le Meurice and also in the studio. Daft Punk, Skrillex, 2Chainz, and MC Keef Chief. 2Chainz recently said "Just know that Mr. West has some dope music on the way."

Carne Asada Cook Off At Skip Fordyce In Riverside!
Saturday I had a blast hosting the Skip Fordyce Harley Davidson Carne Asada cook off for Cinco De Mayo Weekend!! Shout outs to everyone in attnendance including Lifestyle magazine who also held the event.
Legendary Oldies group Tierra performed their hit song Together and other classics as the air was filled with the fresh tasty smell of Carne Asada right from the grill.
