Well, one thing IS for sure…Jessica & Ashlee Simpson’s mom & dad ARE getting DIVORCED. Tina Simpson filed divorce papers in Texas at the end of September and cited "discord or conflict of personalities." But the next question is WHY have they decided to separate after 35 years of marriage & 2 beautiful grown daughters later?? Well…rumor has is Daddy (Joe) Simpson is gay. Say what?? Apparently a source says,

"Joe got the family together about two months ago and came out of the closet. He told them that he’d tried to continue in his marriage to Tina, but he couldn’t go on any longer and deny the fact that he had these feelings for men. Joe said it wasn’t fair to her, and it wasn’t fair to him.”

Could this possibly be true?? Another shocker is apparently the 54-year-old pastor-turned-manager already has a boyfriend and he’s only 20-something-years-old! What do you call a man cougar?? The Simpson’s rep has released a statement saying,

"It is an amicable split and there is no third party involved. Any other related allegations are completely false. The family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."
