I am not a Pakers fan. I cheer for the Vikings, but Ultimately I am a football fan. And what went down in the Brett Favre debacle has even made me sad for Brett. As much as I hated him as a rival, I also respected him. HE DESERVES THE RESPECT OF ALL FOOTBALL FANS for the way he played the game. Sadly he didn't even get it from him own team.
What Three job lessons can we all learn from what went down with Brett Favre and the Packers?
1. If you don't own the company, you don't hold the cards, no matter who you are.
2. Everyone is expendable and can be replaced. It may not be the right decision, but if the boss wants to bring in his guy, he or she will wait for their chance. Even if it means replacing the best QB in history. This is pure office politics and it happens at your job I'll bet.
3. Don't make quick decisions about the big stuff, like
quitting your job. Because once you're out...you are on the outside looking in. I always tell all the DJ's here not to do anything stupid that gets them fired. There are A LOT of former 99.1 DJ's who would love to have their jobs.
4. Be absolutely sure before you commit...(those of you on your 3rd marriage can relate) Or you might end up looking like this guy!

Now if Brett leads the Jets to a Superbowl victory, this will all have been worth it. I CAN'T WAIT FOR SEPTEMBER TO START!!!
