There are MANY reasons why, as a proud dog lover, I will NEVER EVER let my dogs fly in the cargo hold of a plane.
If my wife and I are going somewhere on a family vacation - and our pups can't ride with us - then we're going by CAR.
Hey, it's only an 8-hour car ride to Lake Tahoe!
First off, I don't want my fur babies riding with the freakin' luggage.
Secondly, I don't want my pups out of my sight during the flight.
And, THIRDLY, I don't want to arrive at my destination, only to find out my pups are in . . . another country.

Meet 6-year-old Hendrix.
Last week, his owner moved from New Jersey to Phoenix.
Once she arrived, she called her mom and asked her to send her dog from the airport in Newark, New Jersey to Phoenix, where she would pick up her happy furbaby.
Imagine her shock when she went to the airport to get her dog, and was told he was in IRELAND!

And this was AFTER the owner's mom asked employees in New Jersey "over 100 times" if the dog was going to Phoenix.
Apparently, someone screwed up, and Hendrix ended up on the other side of the Atlantic, where even DOGS won't eat those wretched table scraps.
Once they realized their error, the airline walked and fed Hendrix, then flew him back to Newark, New Jersey - where he caught a connecting flight to Phoenix...all while riding next to the luggage.
In all, Hendrix and his mommy were apart for a full day - or, a full week in dog math.
I don't want to put the airline on blast, but lret's just say mommy and doggy are UNITED.
