DUMBASS of the DAY!

THUGS: If you left your crowbar behind at a home invasion robbery, just let it go.

Calling the police to report it STOLEN can not possibly go well for you.

Let’s go to Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, where 29-year-old Nathaniel Lee Smith had just committed a home invasion robbery that didn’t go too well.

First, he got sprayed in the face with window cleaner, and – in an effort to leave the house - dropped his crowbar AND his skullcap.

When he got home, he promptly doubled down on stupid, calling 9-1-1 to report someone had stolen his crowbar and skullcap.

A deputy came to his house, took the report, and then ARRESTED him for home invasion robbery.

Poor Nathaniel! How was HE to know the deputy who took the report was the same deputy working on the home invasion robbery case, and knew about the crowbar and skullcap?

Of course, it would help if your 9-1-1 call was convincing. Which, apparently, it WASN'T.
