Local teacher placed on leave
3rd grade teacher reportedly 'blasts' students
Did a local teacher go too far?
A third grade teacher at Henry Elementary School was put on administrative leave after the grandmother of one of his students secretly recorded him berating the students over not knowing the subject and predicate of a sentence, or how to indent a paragraph.
The San Bernardino Sun posted a four-minute segment of the six-hour recording. Feel free to give it a listen, and ask yourself if he deserved to be placed on leave.
Popester's Thought: I remember interrupting my 4th grade teacher with a lame joke - which got some of my fellow students to giggle. The teacher - Mrs. Sakamoto - put me on blast, telling me, "You're not funny at all, Mr. Pope. If you're gonna interrupt this class with stupid jokes, then perhaps you should stay after class and work on your material."
SNAP!
I decided right then and there, that if I was going to interrupt anymore teachers, I had to come strong and bring the funny! And that's how, byt the time I made it to Upland High School, I was performing two shows daily.
So, THANKS to my 4th grade teacher for putting me on blast in front of the kids!!
