Let's Keep In Touch! FOLLOW me on Twitter, LIKE me on Facebook, and LOVE me on 99.1 KGGI! (Dang, I sound like a clingy girlfriend, huh?) LOL!
I'll give you the short version. I grew up in the beautiful city of Fontana... Go Steelers! (but now I live in Corona) I began my broadcasting career in high school. I was the host of a small cable access show on KVCR, channel 24, called "Campus Daze." I was only 16 and the show was all about highlighting students doing positive things with their time. It was a lot of fun. I even got to do a bit of traveling with the show. So with that being said, I said to myself, "Self, how can I do this job minus the make-up? RADIO!" (ok, not exactly like that, but this is the short version right?) So I attended The Academy of Radio Broadcasting in Huntington Beach and after a lot of long hours, a full time job at Macy's in the Montclair Mall then straight to school takes tons out of you, I landed my first radio job. I worked at Radio Disney Los Angeles, which was really fun. I got to host a bunch of concerts in Disneyland! Woo-hoo! I also worked at KABC Talk Radio as a producer then joined the morning show at KGGI, after a lot of persuasion from Jesse Duran (thanks for that by the way, Jess). The rest you pretty much know! I've been hosting the morning show with Jeff Pope for over 8 years and it's been a blast. Something you might not know is that I actually really like Jeff (working with him that is) but don't tell him I said that.
What else do you want to know? Oh, I have a beautiful daughter named Juleen, which you probably already knew since my entire pregnancy was during the first year of the show and I have an amazing husband named Chris, a beautiful baby boy named Aiden (born 5-1-08) and NOW an adorable baby girl, Cassandra "Cassie" (born 1-20-11). I feel very blessed to be able to do what I love and work with people who have really become like family. It's a really interesting job and I can't wait to see what the future brings! I said the short version didn't I?
