On November 30th, my friend Dick Clark would have been 83.  Many of my colleagues and friends have passed away, but losing Dick Clark was one of the most difficult to deal with.  We became friends in the late 1950s.  Did a show with him at the Hollywood Bowl in 1961...

Dick came to my Hollywood Walk of Fame star induction in 1981.  We attended many of his American Music Awards shows.  Seeing the tribute to Dick at this years AMAs was a touching salute and it was nice to see Kari there.  Kari you are in our thoughts and prayers. 

Through the decades, we shared many good times together and lots of laughs...

This will be the first New Year's Eve without Dick Clark.  Good to hear ABC will continue to call the year end celebration "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve", which will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest.  And there will be a 2 hour salute to Dick Clark before the ball drops in NYC. It will be a very emotional night....
