I will be completely honest. I did not watch the American Music Awards. I wasn't even aware of the event until I started seeing it pop up on my Twitter feed. However, I wanted to give props to the beautiful, talented Ms. Kelly Rowland. She presented for Best Male R&B Artist which was awarded to Chris Brown. There were some jeers and boos from the crowd and since C Breezy wasn't there to accept the award, Kelly accepted it on his behalf.
She immediately shushed the crowd of naysayers and gracefully gave props to Chris Brown.
Many are aware of Chris Brown's troubled past with domestic violence and while Chris has continued to pump out the hits MUSICALLY, he still is haunted by some of the bad decisions he's made. I'm not here to defend Brown, but it he's getting an award for music alone, I think one could make the argument that he deserves it.
