Tanya Marie Conchola, 38, and Eric Sammy Pacheco, 33, were arrested Sunday at their home in the 26500 block of Fir Avenue in Moreno Valley and are being accused of beating two children that were under their care and inflicting life-threatening injuries to one of them. The couple was charged Wednesday with four counts each of "child abuse likely to produce great bodily injury."
According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called to the residence for a report of a make juvenile not breathing. The boy was transported to a hospital for life-saving surgery. He remains in critical condition.
A female juvenile victim was also found at the residence. She was hospitalized with non-life threatening conditions and is in stable condition.
